First Venue:              Boondooma Dam Caravan and Recreation Park

Location:                   Bushcamp Rd, Okeden Qld

This is approximately 230 km, 2 hr 45 min drive north west of Coolum Beach, via Gympie (76km) Murgon (93km) Proston (43km) Dam (18km)

During my visit Stephanie blocked some of each type of accommodation and site for us.   A 10% discount is yet to be confirmed.

NOTE: When booking, don’t forget to mention your with the SSRKC

Arrive Sunday 29th May and set up camp.

The park is on the shore of the lake with easy access for launch.

There is a covered seating area outside office, where we’ll have the first happy hour at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the  TWO paddles planned for Monday and Tuesday.

Depart Wed 1st June and drive to BP Dam.

Second Venue:         Bjelke-Petersen Dam Caravan and Recreation Park aka

                                Yallakool Park on BP Dam

Location:                   Barambah Rd, Moffatdale Qld

This is approximately 73 km, 55 min drive back via Murgon on the road you drove out on. After Murgon, heading towards Goomeri, at 7.5km turn right into Kilcoy Murgon Rd, follow it for 7.7km, turn right into Haagar Drive and in 900 mtrs find office on left, above campground.

They also are expecting us and same as other campground. Both facilities are managed by South Burnet Regional Council  on www.sbrc.qld.gov.au.

Arrive Wed 1st June and set  up camp.

We will have happy hour up by the swimming pool at 4:30p.m.  to discuss the  TWO paddles planned for Thursday & Friday.

Camp dinner Thurs 2nd June at nearby Dusty Hill Winery, 6km away. To be confirmed, Details TBA.

Depart Sun 5th June.
