It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.

Associate Membership
Purpose: To enable former paddlers to retain an ongoing link to the SSRKC.
Cost: $10 per annum
Entitlements:
1. Entry to all social events on the same basis as ordinary members.
2. Eligible to remain a member of the SSRKC Facebook page
3. Eligible to post items for sale on the club’s website
4. Observer status at the AGM and Special Meetings, but without voting rights.
5. Eligible to attend club paddles, but only as a non paddler. In other words, they can attend post paddles smokos.
NB: Associate Members do not have voting rights, cannot seek election to the committee and cannot participate as paddlers or passengers in a tandem. (Associate members can however participate in up to three paddles if they are invited to do so by an ordinary member.
Eligibility:
Associate Membership is at the discretion of the committee. It is usually reserved for paddlers who have been active paying members for at least five years and no longer paddle because of ill health, injury or for safety reasons.
Associate Membership (Youth)
Purpose: To enable aspiring members who have not yet turned 50 years of age to participate in club activities, as if they were a full member.
Cost: Full membership fees
Entitlements: All the entitlements of an ordinary member, except Associate Members do not have voting rights and cannot seek election to the committee.
Eligibility: Associate membership is at the discretion of the committee. It is usually reserved for paddlers, who would in all respects qualify to be members, except for the age criteria. It is understood this provision does not seek to change the purpose of the club to cater for “seniors” interested in recreational paddling, and in most circumstances would be limited to relatives of existing members or those who are near the age of 50.
