LATEST UPDATE 22nd NOVEMBER 2021
Fellow Paddlers,
At our recent committee meeting, the Evans Head Camp was confirmed as going ahead as scheduled saving any Government interference beforehand. If this should occur, an alternative camp will be organised if appropriate.
The organisation for the Evans Head camp is progressing to plan.
We now need to finalise our accommodation booking with ‘The Bowlo’ (the bowls club accommodation)
If you intend to go to this camp and require accommodation at ‘The Bowlo’ (see details below) you must advise Sue Alcock PH: 0439 623 209 and pay a $50 deposit per person to the club account (put your name on the deposit!)
Details: A/C Name SSRKC
BSB 484 799
Account No 033 787 320.
NOTE: We require this to be done by 10th December ( just over 2 weeks away!)
NOTE: Deposits will only be refundable up to 31st Dec unless the camp is cancelled due to Covid issues, in which case they will be refunded up to Camp start date.
Those who wish to stay elsewhere are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. We suggest ‘Reflections Holiday Park’ which is next door to ‘The Bowlo’ cabins. Be aware the Caravan Park is very busy and bookings are advised.

UPDATE 3RD JULY 2021
EVANS HEAD CAMP – 27 FEB – 6 March 2022 (7 nights)
The NSW’s Evans Head trip will be our first camp for 2022, and the first interstate club camp, for some time, due to the Covid restrictions. The area has an abundance of waterways, of which we can paddle, with the added attraction of the surf beach, where avid kayak surfers can play to their hearts content. Although the camp is next February, we do need to mull over and book our accommodation asap.
Please think through carefully, as some places do not give refunds, that is if you need to cancel, for any reason, they will not give cash refunds however they will give credit and transfers to another date, where possible. If it is a government directive, relating to Covid lockdowns then a credit refund on your card will be given.
