Bribie Island Camp Sunday 19 Feb to Saturday 25 Feb. Camp Leaders: Pauline King and Donna Gibson
Where: Bongaree Caravan Park, Bongaree, Bribie Island
Bribie paddles are usually impacted by wind and sea conditions and as such some changes maybe expected to the plan below, a facebook event will be created so that updates and paddle start times can be communicated, this will be particularly helpful for those coming down for the day to paddle with us. The plan for the next day will be confirmed at 5pm at the briefing. The following is an outline of the paddles and other activities:
Sunday 19 Feb: Arrive, 5pm nibbles & dribbles on the waterfront adjacent to the Bongaree Caravan Park (this will be then daily at 5pm)
Monday 20 Feb: Poverty Point Paddle 14km return, 08:30 launch at Banksia Beach (near 17 Solander Esp) Poverty Point Paddle 26km return, 07:30 launch at Bongaree Van Park
Tuesday 21 Feb: Godwin Beach 10Km return, launch at Bongaree Van Park, time TBA. Beachmere 30km return, launch at Bongaree Van Park, time TBA
Wednesday 22 Feb: Ningi Creek launch at Turners Camp 12km return, time TBA Nigi Creek launch at Bongaree Van Park 30km return, time TBA Camp Dinner at the Woorim Surf Club at 6pm after the daily briefing at the Surf Club Bar 5pm.
Thursday 23 Feb: Skirmish Point launch at Bongaree Van Park 12km return, time TBA Woorim launch at Bongaree Van Park 22km return (open water paddle), time TBA
Friday 24 Feb: King John Creek (Caboolture River) 12km return, launch at Beachmere Boat Ramp at 10am (need the tide)
Saturday 25 Feb: Check-out and return home.
